He was predeceased by: his parents, Corny Giesbrecht and Mary Giesbrecht; his siblings, Martha and Bill; and his brother-in-law Sid.

He is survived by: his wife Elvira; his sons, Jeremy (Colleen), Jeffery (Karen), Jayson (Gina) and Warren (Jodi); his grandchildren, Kara (Steve), Adrie (Marcus), Cadin, Marrion (Mitch), Liam (Joana), Graham, Aaron, Simon, Tori, Drew, Lane and Ty; his great grandchildren, Millie, Teddy, Fletcher, Cooper and Daya; his siblings, Walter (Mary) and Mary (Abe); and his sister-in-law Liz. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
