He was predeceased by: his daughter Janine Groot. He is survived by: his children, Tony Prud'homme (Judy), Michelle Arnaud (Ash) and Rachel Groot; his granddaughters, Sonia Wallace and Elise Prud'homme; his stepsons, David Speer (Paulette) and Dan Speer (Shelley); his grandchildren, Krista, Matthew, Erin, Mike, Braedon and Lindsay; and his siblings, Gretha Vanderzweep (John), Anne Schoofs (Louis), Jack Groot (Kathy), Tom Groot (Alice) and Joe Groot (Georgina). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, if so desired, a donation can be made to the Winnipeg Pet Rescue Shelter 12-2727 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg.
