He was predeceased by: his parents, John Machalek and Helene Machalek; and his brother Walter Allen Machalek. He is survived by: his wife Willie; his grandchildren, Jayde, Alex and Zoe Holmes; and also Tim. He is also survived by many nephews, cousins, and extended relatives.
At the tail end of Covid, they enjoyed bus charters to Victoria and Niagara Falls.
