He was predeceased by: his parents, Vitaliano and Antonia; his stepfather Jose; and his brothers, Renato and Jose.

He is survived by: his wife Dolores; his daughters, Marife and Melissa (Sebastian); his granddaughter Charlotte; his brother Vitaliano (Leonida); his nephew Anthony (Myla); his great-niece Alexa; and his brother-in-law Numeriano. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks donations to be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada.
