Richard John Drescher Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard John Drescher (West St Paul, Manitoba), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 4, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Phyllis Drescher and Richard Drescher; his parents-in-law, Betty and Ernie Podjan; his son-in-law Allan Rogers; and his great grandchild Harrison.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy; his children, Marnie (Chris), Kim (Len) and James (Melanie); his grandchildren, Kian, Justin, Matthew (Emma), Taylor, Amy (Kyle), Mark (Heidi) and Yojo; his great grandchildren, Alaya, Jasmine, Easton and Lewis; his brother Norman; his brother-in-law Jim Podjan; his close friend Morley Jensen; and his cousin Judy McEwen (Honer).
A memorial service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Glen Eden Funeral Home (4477 Main St, West Saint Paul, MB R4A4A7).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Riverview Health Centre (1 Morley Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3L 2P4) or the Winnipeg Humane Society (45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 0R3).
