He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Nowak; his parents, Bruno Nowak and Theresia Nowak; and his stepdaughter Sandra Dearman. He is survived by: his children, Karin Nowak-Bailey (Troy) and David Nowak (Teri); his stepchildren, Richard Dearman, Debra Cielen (Darryl) and Jeffery Dearman (Lynn); his grandsons, Brett and Tyler Bailey; his stepgrandchildren, Emma Pesochin, Chris Ethier, Dayna Cielen, Michelle Cielen and Dylon Dearman; his brothers, Bruno Nowak (Gale) and Rudi Nowak (Ursula); his mother-in-law Madeline McLeod; his sisters-in-law, Donelda Jeffery and Karen Foy; and the mother of his children Janice Kane.

Given the current pandemic restrictions, a virtually delivered private funeral service will be held at Glen Eden Funeral Home on June 3rd at 2pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
