He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Kirk of Swan River and Elizabeth (Thomson) of Scotland. He is survived by: his wife Catherine; his children, James and Jaime; his grandson Russell; his friend Myles; and his siblings, Ian of Pinawa, Alistair of Nanaimo and Katherine (Crowe) of Gilbert Plains. He is also survived by his many friends and family.

In lieu of flowers if friends so desire donations may be made to the Kidney and/or Liver care programs in his name.

“Gord was an incredible human being that wont be replaced. He was an honest, gentle and kind man. Hes sense of humor and infectious smile and giggle will be missed. Can honestly say I wish I had known him longer and could have enjoyed more time with him. My deepest condolences to his wife and family. He was so proud of all of you and spoke highly of each of you. May his spirit live in his grandchildren for ever. He touched the heart of my 11 year old daughter, she wont forget Gord.”
