He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Cassidy and Joan Cassidy; and his brother-in-law Tom Cottrell. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie; his children, Clifford Cassidy (Justyna Dawidowicz) of Ottawa, ON and Claire Cassidy of Victoria, BC; his stepdaughter Shannon Klatt (Jack Squire) of Saskatoon, SK; his grandson Adam Cassidy; and his sisters-in-law, Judy Holmes (Don) of Duncan, BC and Janis Suess of Vancouver, BC.
