He was predeceased by: his parents, John Single and Ida Single; and his siblings, Freida (Val), Martha (Ed), Doreen (Ernie), Otto, Paul (Tillie) and Gotlieb (Grace).

He is survived by: his wife Gail Dickson; his children, Sheldon (Shannon), Janice (Wayne) and Darren (Amanda); his grandchildren, Jerrod, Jordon, Colten, Ryan, Lindsey, Meagan and Alex (Shayla); his siblings-in-law, Doreen (John), Pat (Wally), Kathy (Siggi), Arlene (Harold) and Terry; and his parents-in-law, Arlie and Mae. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Christ Lutheran Church.
