He was predeceased by: his parents, Mathias Hellmann and Barbara Hellmann; and his siblings, Nick, Cecilia, Matt, Betty, Clare, Barbara, Anne, Jack, Josephine and Harry.
He is survived by: his children, Bob Hellman (Colleen), Maureen Spearman (Dean), David Hellman, Theresa Burns, Colleen Ellis (Mike), Karyn Carriere (Henri) and Sheryl Faminow (Cam); his grandchildren, Kelly, Annie, Evan, Claire, Sylvia, Theo, Charles, Suzanne, Lisa, Patrick, Daniel and Matthew; his brother Bill Hellman of Richmound Sask; and his wife Sylvia Spavor.
