He was predeceased by: his wife Emily Hammerberg; his parents, Elmer and Edith; his siblings, Basil, Cecil, Florence and Irene; and his children-in-law, Shelly Slater and Albert Sutyla.

He is survived by: his children, Neil Slater, Noella Lindstrom (Terry), Susan James (Larry) and Jodi Sutyla.

In lieu of flowers, family asks donations to be made to the Teulon and District Memory Garden or a charity of their choice.
