"Ed" Ernest Edward Hay Obituary
It is with great sadness we announce our dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, uncle, brother and friend passed away peacefully with family by his side on July 30, 2023 in Moose Jaw, SK where he resided after living in the Swan Valley for 84 years. Dad’s love for hunting, fishing, hockey and baseball as well as working in the Swan Valley provided him with many stories to tell bringing smiles to all.
Ed was born to Robert and Olive Hay in MInitonas, Manitoba on September 10, 1938. He is predeceased by his wife Arlene (Person) and later Shirley, brothers Lloyd and Henry, sisters Margaret and Peggy. He is survived by daughter Twyla (Ian), sons Scott (Kathy), Bradley (Priscilla), grandchildren Gary (Lisa), Megan (Mitch), Cameron (Amy), Kurtis (Kim), Courtney (Jeff), Marek, Sven, Bas, Gavin, Mindy, Paul, great grandchildren, Adalyn, Millie, Hayden, Zoey, Addisyn, Myles, Levi, sister Shirley Woodward as well as many nieces and nephews and special friends.
The family would like to send a special thank you to all the staff at Providence Place in Moose Jaw and Doctor Payet for making Dad so happy during his time there.
A private family gathering will be held in Swan River on Saturday September 16, 2023.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Providence Place Healing Garden where Dad liked to spend his time.
