He is survived by: his wife Annette; his children, Jimmy De Backer of Brandon, MB, Fred De Backer (Corinne) of Manitou, MB and Deb De Backer (William) of Swan Lake, MB; his grandchildren, Drew (Sasha), Jory (Jasmine), Maqueda, Reg, Aubrey, Bailey, Gail and Crystal; and his sisters, Madeliene Van De (Raymond), Lorraine Grift (Robert) of Swan Lake, MB and Germaine Van Der (Ron).
