He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce; and his parents, Guy Tervoort and Maria Tervoort. He is survived by: his children, Dan (Dawn), Gary (Tammy) and Debbie (Dean); his grandchildren, Amanda (Gerald), Michael, Michelle, Nicole, Sara, Megan, Tegan and Elijah; his great grandchildren, Zoe, Jackson and Hilarie; his sister Yopie Potter (Kees); his sister-in-law Lois Osborne; and also Frank Tervoort (Joyce). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
