He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Patricia; his children, Susan and Christopher; his daughter-in-law Helena; his grandchildren, Delta Emily, Francis Riel and Charles Alasdair; his pet Chico; his mother-in-law Hope Haverstock; his brother-in-law Chuck Haverstock (Diana); his brother David; his niece Anne-Marie Desjarlais; his nephew Stephen Haverstock; his parents, William and Christina; his father-in-law Hal Haverstock; his aunt Marjorie; his uncle Andrew Watson; and his grandfather John.

In lieu of flowers, John would want people to make a donation to either the Humane Society or the St Boniface Foundation/ Cardiac Research.
