We are sad to announce that on October 6, 2023, Sonya Lenchyshyn (Steinbach, Manitoba), born in Rainy River, Ontario passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Lawrence Lenchyshyn; her daughter Shelley Lenchyshyn; her parents, Josphine Mykytyn and Dymtro Mykytyn; her siblings, John Mykytyn, Peter Mykytyn (Hilda) and Liz Weston (Tom); her in-laws, Dennis Lenchyshyn (Sally), Alice Makodanski (Tony), Nellie Spilchuk (Tony) and Emmett Thompson; and her sister-in-law Gisela.

She is survived by: her sister Elsie Thompson; her in-laws, Gisela Mykytyn, Joanne Gerard (Julien) and Dianne Wallace; her children, Lori Laurencelle (Denis) and Tim Lenchyshyn (Grace); and her grandchildren, Chris Lenchyshyn, Riley Laurencelle, Jeremy Lenchyshyn (Lindsay), Shae Laurencelle (Brendon) and Amy Lenchyshyn (Alex). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
