He is survived by: his wife Nettie Friesen; his son Glen Friesen (Crystal); his grandchildren, Cade, Lexie and Zara; his daughter Wendy Ens (Darcy); his grandchildren, Brianna, Luke, Jack and Kaitie; his sisters, Kathy Giesbrecht, Nitha Friesen and Sally Harder; his brothers-in-law, John Bergen and Jake Bergen; and his friend Nettie Enns.

A private family graveside service will be held due to COVID-19 precautions.
