He was predeceased by: his wife Marie-Jeanne Vandal; his parents, Albertine Levesque and Alexander Chatel; his daughter Gisele (Bobby); his siblings, Clovis, Edward, Alexina Sherbish (Joe), Leona Warzee (Adrian) and Rachel Foldy (Ludwig); his parents-in-law, Leontine and Arthur Vandal; and his siblings-in-law, Lea Chernetski, Norma Nowak, Norris and Dollard Vandal.
He is survived by: his children, Diane Verrier, Ronald Chatel (Louise Paille), Janette Letkeman (Danny), Cheryl Tysoski (Brian) and Alan Chatel (Michelle); his siblings, Denise Goertzen (Pete) and Joe Chatel (Mavis Lempen); his sister-in-law Dolores Dunning; and his grandchildren, Therese Dandeneau, Roselyne Sawka, Claude, Robert Verrier, Reynald, Ryan Chatel, Jocie Cyrenne, Richard Friesen, Sean Letkeman, Joey, Dave Levesque, Jennifer, Stephanie Tysoski, Tara Chatel and Rebecca Spellen. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
