James touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his former wife Mildred; his son Barton; his parents, Dan Lohr and Mary Lohr; his grandson Kevin Bell; and his siblings, Gordon and Myrna.

He is survived by: his wife Vera; and his children, Betty Kaita (Percy), Sharon Taekema (Jim), Brad Lohr (Kathleen), Brenda Krentz (Ken) and Jennifer Thiessen (Anthony). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, also sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

Viewing will be held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (465 Henry St, Steinbach, MB R5G0H1). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church (465 Henry St, Steinbach, MB R5G0H1).

If friends so desire, (in lieu of flowers) donations can be in memory of James Lohr, made to Pat Porter Active Living Center or a charity of their choice.
