He was predeceased by: his wife Erna; his parents, Henry Toews and Maria Toews; his parents-in-law, Aaron and Agatha Janz; his brother-in-law Peter Harder; his nephew Kevin Toews; his niece Katherine Toews; and his great-nephew Cole Friesen.
He is survived by: his children, Arlene Derksen (Bruce), Belva Rode (Terry Alty) and Jason Toews (Erica); his grandchildren, Krista Voth, Vanessa, Donovan Kehler, Jessica, Steve Mezzo, Rebecca, Ernie Wiebe, Christian Rode, Colten Toews, Kaylee Toews and Keanna Toews; and his friends, John Reimer and Jake Reimer. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters.
