He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolf Renz and Lydia Renz; and his sister Gertrude Prost. He is survived by: his children, Jan Bergen (Vaughn), Armand (Valerie), Darren (Betty), Earl and Karis Friesen (Harold); his siblings, Elsie Gerelus, Helmuth (Anne), Anna Lewis, Henry (Betty) and Bernice Pachinosky (Lawrence); and his wife Norma Toews. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
