He was predeceased by: his wife Elsie; his parents, Dietrich Hildebrand and Katherina Hildebrand; his stepmother Elizabeth; and his stepbrother John Martens.
He is survived by: his children, Dan, Tim, Jerry (Paula) and Marilyn (Anthony Thiessen); his grandchildren, Eric, Kaia, Matthew, Brittany, Warrick, Grace, Israel and Abigail; and his siblings, Bill Hildebrand (Pauline), Helen Ho (Tom) and Mary Louise Montgomery (Bob).
