He was loved and cherished by many people including: his son Johnny; his parents, David Hiebert and Agatha Hiebert; his significant other Anne; his children, Dave (Audrey), Bill (Darlene), Helena (Rick) of Ann, AJ, Grace (Doug), Faith, James and Tim; his sisters, Jessie, Helen and Nettie; and his friend Henry (Ruth). He was also cherished by 25 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
