He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Nickel and George Nickel; and his sisters, Margaret, Sarah and Nettie.
He is survived by: his wife Susan; his children, Steven (Holly-Jaide), Jessica (Joel) and David (Ruth-Anne); his grandchildren, Maverick, Adriana, Nora and Jacob; his siblings, John (Maryann), Anne (Menno), Edward, Bill (Hildie), Henry (Corinne), Jake (Lena) and Bertha (Cornie); and his brothers-in-law, Ray (Flora) and Ron (Elisabeth). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
