He was predeceased by: his parents, Hans Joachim and Hildegard Riedel. He is survived by: his wife Judy; his children, Bryan Plante (Vanessa) and Larissa Prairie (Keith); his grandchildren, Alyssa, Lucas, Julia and Makayla; his sister Barbara Gerth; his nephews, Arno and Achim; his niece Antje Gerth (Friedrich Ebrecht); his great-nephew Thimo; and his cousins, Rebecca Guthart (Juergen), Waltraud Riedel and Robert Riedel (Marina).

In lieu of flowers, we ask donations be made to Scouts Manitoba or plant a tree in Archie's name.
