He was predeceased by: his wife Lois Herd; his parents, John Herd and Dorothy Herd; and his siblings, John Herd and Jean Darwing.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Herd (Ebony Novakowski) of Winnipeg, Stephen Dracul (Trina) of Somerset and Jacqueline Dowsey (Simon) of Edmonton; his grandchildren, Jordan, Finn and Piper; his great grandchild Talia; his sister-in-law Carolyn Herd; and his cousins, Oshawa of Alberta, BC, Tennessee and California. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
