He was predeceased by: his wife Laura; his parents, Thorvaldur and Ingibjorg; his sisters, Nena Bryan, Jona Mowczan and Bjorg Harris; and his grandson Christopher Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Nancy Masson of Teulon, Brian (Sherry) of Sydney and Tim (Robin) of Winnipeg; his grandchildren, Clayton (Erin), Laura Lee (Tom), Andrea, Quentin, Drew, Stephen and Sarah; and his great grandchildren, Dakota, Ashton, Aisha, Richard, Grayson, Kiera and Carter.
