Stefanie McKay Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Stefanie McKay (Selkirk, Manitoba), born in Calgary, Alberta, who passed away on December 10, 2020 at the age of 30. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Lenny George McKay. She is survived by: her mother Helen McKay; her foster siblings, Maurice, Norman Richards and Ruth Ann Harris; her siblings, Marc, Dwayne, Eddy, Lenny Jr. McKay and Jestine McKay; her foster parents, Stanton Richards and Nadine Richards; her foster brothers, David Laire (Elaine), Gary and Aaron Richards; her brother-in-law Phil Harris; her foster sisters, Marianne Sarich (Terry) and Shyanne Williams; and her friend Jackie McCartan. She is also survived by ses numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She had her 'Gold Team' of doctors at the Health Science Center in Winnipeg but all this couldn't save her from Covid. She went in for surgery on Dec. 2 and was diagnosed with covid Dec. 10, 2020 which she contracted from the hospital.
