He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret; his parents, Mike Chiye and Julia Chiye; his sisters, Evelyn Bucar and Jean Marek; his nephews, Duane Kolbuch, Kurt and Clint Danko; and his niece Judy Marek.
He is survived by: his children, Lori Hagman (Jeff), Sherri Fawcett and Randy Chaye; his grandchildren, Morgan Chaye (Travis), Rachel Chaye (Rowan), Jared Fawcett (Jayde) and Taylor Fawcett (Mitch); his sister Helen Kuczek; and his sisters-in-law, Frances Danko (Dennis), Verna and Conny Kancylarski. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
