He was predeceased by: his wife Velma; his parents, Annie and Albert; his brothers, Floyd and Morgan; his nephew Glenn Knott; and his parents-in-law, Ellen Lusty and Percy Louis.

He is survived by: his children, Sandra and Dwayne (Leona); his grandson Olin; his son-in-law Orest; his siblings, Pat Folster (Orval), Dorothy Blake-Knox (Denis), Alberta Thomas and Kevin Knott; and his siblings-in-law, Blanch Louis, Valerie Linklater, Shirley Louis and Roger Lusty. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba or to East Gate Lodge.
