It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Matthew Shindak (Selkirk, Manitoba), born in Silver, Manitoba, who passed away on September 5, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Shindak and Antonia; and his siblings, Paul, Jack, Nick, Helen Faery, Anne Ford and Billy.
He is survived by: his wife Geraldine; his children, Michael (Christine Caron), James, Douglas (Nadine Gosselin) and Angela; his grandchildren, Trevor (Mery Ann Sumampong), Brayden, Kristian, Keagan, Matthew, Naomi, Noah, Brenna and Braeden; his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Maverick, Levi and Griffin; his brother Henry (Anita Suddaby); and his sister-in-law Phyllis Stattin. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
It is with great sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of our beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather on September 5th, 2022 at the Gimli Betel Home Foundation, at the age of 85.
