He is survived by: his wife Christa; his daughters, Annette and Gabi (Bernd); his granddaughter Nicole; his siblings, Helmut, Heiner, Hans and Trudel; his sister-in-law Lydia; his nephew Karl-Wilhelm (Sigrid); and his niece Andrea.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to Parkinson's Canada or Cancer Care Manitoba.
