Joseph Slogan Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 3, 2024, Joseph Slogan (Selkirk, Manitoba) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Mary; his parents, George Slogan and Tekla Hawchuk; and his siblings, Stepahanie (Graham Morrison), Walter (Nellie) and Bill Slogan.
He is survived by: his children, Mark (Sandra), Patti Saunders (Clark) and Jamie (Zobeida); his grandchildren, Christina Irwin (Ian), Dennis, Kiana and Skylar; his great grandchildren, Mila and Maeve; and his brother Steve Hawchuk (Esther). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A prayer was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Gilbart Funeral Home (309 Eveline St, Selkirk, MB R1A 1M8). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church (380 Sophia St, Selkirk, MB R1A0P2).
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honour his memory may donate to the Alzheimers Society of Manitoba, Selkirk Regional Health Centre Foundation, Manitoba Lung Associaton or a charity of one's choice.
