He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Peter Paulson and Phyllis Paulson; his sisters, Joan, Joyce and Betty; his grandson Peter; his children, Gordon Paulson, Susan Karalash (Roman), Ken Paulson and Janice Morrison (Scott); his grandchildren, Shaun, Yvonne (Stephen), Jennifer (Umar), Robert (Stephanie), Crystal, Ryan (Natasha) and Jeremy (Taylor); his great grandchildren, Ashley, Justina, Nathan, Matthew, Jayson, Sahara, Alina, Maya, Evan, Lily, Keenan, Carter, Shailyn, Jenai, Skyler and Astrid; and his great great grandchild Roman. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
