He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas and Sophie; his brother Billy; and his sister-in-law Penny. He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his sons, Robert (Idelle) and Barri; his grandchildren, Anna, Evan, Brett and Kira; his sister Helen; his brothers-in-law, William (Irene) and Mike; and his son Kelly Kowalchuk (Rebecca). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
