He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael and Frances; his son Reginald; and his sisters, Jean and Mary.

He is survived by: his wife Margaret; his children, Michael (Rachael), Ronnie (Jeane), Barry, Elaine (Steve) and Susan (Keith); his sister Diane (Wayne); and his cousins, Alice Ellison, Eddie Futz and Allan Smakula. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great‑grandchildren.
