She was predeceased by: her sister-in-law Cathy Byers. She is survived by: her husband Richard Rex (Dick); her sons, Jeff Kowalchuk (Lianne) and Randy Kowalchuk (Leanna); her granddaughters, Avia, Katelyn, Grace and Mya; her son Joel Melashenko (Lara); her grandson Jonathan; her stepdaughter Carly Petersen (Chris); and her brothers, Doug Byers, John Byers (Mary), Tim Byers (Petra) and Don Byers (Donna).
