He was predeceased by: his parents, Blake McKay and Elsie McKay; his parents-in-law, Joe and Marie Rose Leclerc; and his siblings-in-law, Dorothy Leclerc, Irene Gerry, Metro Baron and Jim Drinnan.

He is survived by: his wife Louise McKay; his daughters, Leonie May McKay of The Pas, MB and Corinna McKay-Lister of Thunder Bay, ON; his granddaughter Rainy Hamelin (Corey Delaurier); his great grandchildren, Abigail, Skylar Hamelin and Harper Delaurier of Ste. Rose, MB; his granddaughter Hope McKay; his great grandchildren, Salem and Hunter McKay of Thunder Bay, ON; his granddaughter Paige McKay of Fort Frances, ON; his siblings, Syd McKay (Julia), Marvin McKay (Claire) of The Pas, MB, Heather McKay of London, ON and Bonnie McKay (Dale Lucey) of Sandy Lake, MB; and his siblings-in-law, Jerry Leclerc of Brandon, MB, Armand Leclerc (Sheila) of Flin Flon, MB., Kel, Vickie Baron (Bernie Payne), Lorette Benson (Ron) of Brandon, MB., Blanche Drinnan of Airdrie, AB and Lea Verley (Roland) of Laurier, MB. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
