He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Shumsky and Pearl Shumsky (Kostyra); his siblings, Mary Pshebniski (Bill), Anne Samocha (John), Tony Shumsky and Nicholas Shumsky (Irene); and his siblings-in-law, Barry Basaraba, Fred and Mary Gadzosa.
He is survived by: his wife Dianne (Gadzosa); his children, Kyle, Kerry and Kristin (Riel); his brother Dmetro Shumsky (Matt); and his siblings-in-law, Stella Shumsky, Marlene Basaraba and Terry Gadzosa (Candace). He is also survived by nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.
