Rufus John Honish Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rufus John Honish (Rorketon, Manitoba), who passed away on March 4, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Honish and Magdalena Honish (Roth); his former wife Thelma Lundstrom (Fifi) of Toutes-Aides; and also Brent Wood. He is survived by: his friend Lucille Van Humbeck (Theoret); his girlfriend Lucille Van Humbeck; his partner's children, Denis Van Humbeck and Gisele Wood; his great grandchildren, Genevieve, Martina, Kylie, Shandace and Joseph; his sisters, Del of Victoria, BC and Jeneatt (Claude) of Dauphin; his sisters-in-law, Joan Honish, Dorothy Honish, Yvonne, Carol and Theresa (Lundstrom); and also, Cory Wood (Brii Williams) and Vince Wood. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.

Flowers are gratefully declined, should friends so desire, donations may be made in memory of Rufus to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
