He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustav Zimmer and Louise Zimmer (Lindenbach); his wife Beverley McMaster (McMaster); his stepmother Adina Zimmer; his parents-in-law, Stanley and Pearl McMaster; his brothers, Ralph, William (Bill) and Ernie; his siblings-in-law, Jim Fritzke, Murray McMaster, Gary McMaster, Gerald Hay and Yvonne Hay; and his stepbrother Waldermar Sawatzky.

He is survived by: his children, Randy (Darlene), Sandra Hawryluk (Terry) and Angela Wiebe (Elmer); his grandchildren, Falin (Thayne), Chantelle (Kyle), Desirae (Aaron), Logan (Meg), Lance (Danielle), Jaden, Jayce (Tori), Lexi (Courtney), Hayden and Jaxsen; his great grandchildren, Trace, Jaycelyn, Brielle, Brexton and Emburley; his siblings, Art (Arlene) and Betty Fritzke; his sister-in-law Mary Zimmer; his stepbrother Erich Sawatzky; and his friend Sylvia Bodnar. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.
