She was predeceased by: her husband Howard Jay; her daughter Shirley-Anne; her siblings, Bill, Frank, Art and Louise; and her parents, Bill Rouse and Mary Rouse.

She is survived by: her sons, Bob (Barb) and Kevin (Barbi); her grandchildren, Josh, Justin (Megan), Tyler (Katherine), Molly (Oliver), Mikaela (Kyle) and Ashley (Matthew); her stepgrandson Devin (Chevonne); her great grandchildren, Sierra, Jace and Clayton; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Madison and Avery; and her siblings, Kathy, Alice, Nora, Ernie and Jim.
