She was predeceased by: her husband Jim-Min Pao; and her parent Dian-Kai Yang (Cun-Chi). She is survived by: her children, George Pao (Meda), Shen-Chih Liu (Kuo-Lung), Shen-Min Kung (Chung-Kai) and Helen Wei (Albert); her grandchildren, Lisa Tardiff (Seth), Maria Pao, Han-Wen Liu (Pei-Hsia), Cheng-Hsian Liu (Hsin-Na), Chih-Chan Kung, Hsuan-Yu Tu (Chun-Hua), David, Linda, Brian and Jim Wei; and her great grandchildren, Owen, Finn Tardiff, Maggie and George Liu.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Yang Pen-Lien's memory to a charity of one's choice.
