Virgil Houle Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Virgil Houle (Portage la Prairie, Manitoba), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 1, 2025 at the age of 63. He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Roulette and Flora Houle; his siblings, Floyd Houle, Denise Flett, Peggy Eastman, Eddie Houle, Elvis Houle, Eva Fontaine and Stella Smoke; and his grandson Shawn Daniel John Chalus.
He is survived by: his daughter Tanya Shortt (Shawn Chalus); his siblings, Delphine Abraham (Leslie), Barb Houle (Vernon), Norman Houle Howard Houle, Liz Yellowquill, Peter Yellowquill, Brian, Lorraine and Cory; and also Michelle Stoltz. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins extended family.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel (56 Royal Rd S, Portage la Prairie, MB R1N1T6). A wake will be held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Long Plain Spirit Lodge. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
