It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Violet Merrick (Portage la Prairie, Manitoba), born in Birtle, Manitoba, who passed away on December 20, 2020, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillian Benn and Earl Wolfe; her grandparents, Thomas and Mary Benn (Roger Merrick Sr.); her son Roger Merrick Jr.; her granddaughter Paige; and her brothers, Faron Benn, Delaney Wolfe, Marshall Benn and Cliften Benn.
She is survived by: her sons, Marcel Benn, William Benn (Vanessa), Fred Acoby (Sharon) and Terry Merrick; her siblings, Verna Warner (Len), Alice (Hubert), Priscilla Benn, Teena Benn, Elvan Benn (Donna) and Carl Benn (Mary Ann); her grandchildren, Rayleen, Alex, Shania, Jayden, Shawna, Taylor, Destiny, Zakk and Creedence; and her great grandchildren, Alley and Violet. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
