He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Godfrey and Clarence Godfrey; his siblings, Jean North and Charles Godfrey; his brothers-in-law, Ken Edie and Francis North; and his niece Wendy North (late Cathy Godfrey).

He is survived by: his wife Arloa Godfrey; his daughter Jean Godfrey; and his sisters, Susan Edie and Lois Carpenter (Leo). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, stepchildren, step-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren.
