He was predeceased by: his siblings, Muriel (Bud Doherty), Pokey and Doug (Carol); his brothers-in-law, Steve Michaluk and Donald Jackson; his nephews, Kenny Michaluk and Leslie Doherty; and his parents, Alfred Rowland Brooks and Emma Pearl Brooks.
He is survived by: his wife Bunny; his sons, Dan (Shelley), Ron (Sandy), Jeff (Dawn) and Greg (Shawna); his grandchildren, Jason, Bryant (Larissa), Dustin (Mason), Cheyenne, Sierra (Steve), Jordan (Rhiana), Ryan (Destiny), Brendan (Martine), Delaney (Matt), Mackenzie (Bailey), Nicole and Lindsey (Marc); his great grandchildren, Devin, Ethan, Abigail, Veronica, Amelia, Rowland, Oliver and Jude; his siblings, Jean Michaluk, May Garnham and Doreen Hildebrand; and his siblings-in-law, Christine Jackson, Martha Brooks, Doug Garnham and Norman Hildebrand.
