He was predeceased by: his wife Leona (Gheyssens); his siblings, Helen Gmitrowski, Joan Blaine and Lorne Painter; his brothers-in-law, Ted Gmitrowski and Eldon Rintoul; and his parents, George Painter and Lorna Painter.
He is survived by: his children, Ed (Nancy), Diane Neufeld (Bob) and Rob (Lisa Kennedy); his grandchildren, Amy (Amiee), Andrea, James (Ashley), Jessica (Scott), Jennifer and Rodney; his great grandchildren, Lily and Jack; his stepgrandchildren, Jason, Jaime and Andy; his siblings, Georgina Rintoul, Tom Painter and Pattie Painter; his siblings-in-law, Bernard Blaine, Orlia Painter and Ed Gheyssens (Mary); and his uncle Bill. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Covid protocols will be in place, and proof of vaccination will be required to attend.
