He was predeceased by: his parents, William Smart and Violet Smart; his daughter Margaret; and his granddaughter Danielle. He is survived by: his wife Asta; his children, Kathy (Greg) and David; his son-in-law Darryl; and his grandchildren, Ryan, Dean, Bronwyn, Christina, Samantha, Jamie (Marlayna), Kristin, Owen, Cynthia, Kelsey, Mike (Remy), Justin, Jessica (Hila), Jared, Hannah, Bryce and Jess (Mackinley). He is also survived by numerous extended family and friends.
