Mary Holmes Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Holmes (Portage la Prairie, Manitoba), who passed away on January 16, 2021 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Orval Holmes; her parents, Edward (Tootie) and Ellen Knott (Ellie); her brothers, William (Marion Knott) and Edward (Annie Knott); her siblings-in-law, Elliot Schneider, Gib Berard, Diana Knott, Gertie and Ray Johnston; her niece Cheryl Vincent; and her brothers, Rod (Millie), Roy (Betty), John (Barb), Robert and Ken (Lindy).
She is survived by: her siblings-in-law, Ken Holmes, Gord Holmes, Albert and Marion Caister; her grandchildren, Charlene Durdle (Darren), Dave Holmes (Brenda) and Les Knott (Sheila); her great grandchildren, Cody Durdle (Sophie), Tyler Durdle (Robyn), Jarrett Holmes (Michelle), Andrew Holmes, Chris Knott and Tammy Pierrepont (Travis); and her sisters, Hazel, Sharon and Edith. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other lifelong friends and extended family.
Due to Covid 19 restrictions Mary's family will celebrate her life privately.
